Turkey - MKE Yavuz 155mm self-propelled howitzers

The Yavuz 155mmm wheeled self-propelled howitzer is an new artillery system developed jointly by the Turkish companies MKE and Yol-Bak to response to the need of the Turkish army for a new howitzer offering more mobility and fast deployment. The MKE Yavuz is based on an German-made MAN 6x6 military truck chassis with a 155mm 52 calibre howitzer mounted at the rear of the chassis. The main weapon is a truck-mounted solution of the Panter 155mm towed howitzer also manufactured by MKE that is already in service with the Turkish army. The MKE Yavuz is developed based on a chassis and engine of commercial MAN truck converted to be used for military applications, but the cabin and layout are fully designed by MKE and Yol-Bak . A double cab is located at the front of the MKE Yavuz 155mm 6x6 self-propelled howitzer able to accommodate the crew which consists of five people including driver, commander, gunner and two loaders. The crew cab is fully armoured to provide protection against firing of small arms and shell splinters. The MKE Yavuz is fitted with a semi-automatic loading system and a total of 18 ammunition are stored in storage box located on each side of the truck chassis. It can fire at a maximum range of 40 km and need only 60 seconds to be ready to fire. According to MKE engineers, first firing tests with the Yavuz artillery howitzer were performed on April 2017.

South Africa - G6-52 155mm gun-howitzer

The G6-52 is a 155mm 6x6 wheeled self propelled gun-howitzer developed by South Africa. It entered service with the South African National Defence force in 2003.  It is a development of the G6-Rhino, with a new 52 calibre gun replacing the original 45 calibre gun. 

 The G6-52 fires NATO compatible ammunition to a range of 30km using standard projectile, and 39kk with rocket assisted. It can carry 48 rounds in the turret. 

The gun operates a semi-automatic loading system which can fire 8 rounds per minute and has the capability for multiple round simultaneous impact firing. It can fire its first round within 60 secs of deployment, with an out of action time of 30 secs, providing a shoot and scoot capability. 

The detachment of five consists of a commander, gunner, two loaders and a driver.

Cyprus - Nora Alexander TGS

In the presence of the Minister of Defence, Mr. Charalambos Petridis, the Chief of the National Guard Lieutenant-General Democritus Zervakis and the Serbian Ambassador to Cyprus Marko Blagojevic, the first shot of the 2nd squadron of self-propelled guns Nora Alexander TGS took place at the Kitio firing range.

The procurement of this weapons system is part of the multi-annual plan to upgrade and modernise the National Guard. With the inclusion of the 2nd Squadron Nora Alexander TGS, the capabilities of artillery are significantly upgraded. 

The Nora Alexander TGS weapon system is of Serbian construction and origin and consists of 155mm self-propelled guns. Nora-B52KE type, Milosh armored vehicles and observation systems. 

Poland - AHS Kryl

The AHS Kryl is a 155 mm self-propelled wheeled gun howitzer designed in Poland by Centrum Produkcji Wojskowej Huta Stalowa Wola. It is a licensed copy of the ATMOS 2000 52-caliber gun mounted on a Polish Jelcz 663 armoured 6×6 chassis and integrating WB Electronics' "Topaz" artillery fire control system. The howitzer is equipped with an assisted ammunition loading system. 

The Kryl is compatible with all standard NATO 155 mm ammunition. Maximum range of fire is 30 km with a standard HE-FRAG projectile, 41 km with extended-range projectile, and 56 km with newly-developed rocket-assisted projectile. A 155 mm precision-guided rounds were developed in Poland with Ukrainian assistance. These have laser guidance and a range of up to 20 km.

The Kryl carries 18 round of ammunition and associated charges. More rounds are carried by an escorting ammunition supply truck.

Maximum rate of fire is 6 rounds per minute. Though sustained rate of fire is much lower.

China- SH-15

The SH-15 is a 155mm howitzer used by Chinese artillery units. The howitzer was first introduced at the 2018 Zhuhai Air Show in Guangdong, China. 

It is mounted on a chassis of a 6×6 Shaanxi truck. It is provided with a semi-automatic loading system. When moving, the ordnance is held in position by a clamp located to the immediate rear of the cab, which is operated by remote control. When the SH15 is deployed in firing position, two large spades are lowered at the rear to provide a more stable firing platform, fo facilitate a high rate of fire.

The SH15 has a maximum firing range of 20 km with standard ammunition and 53 km with a rocket-assisted projectile. The maximum rate of fire is 4 to 6 rounds per minute. It is compatible with all standard 155 mm NATO ammunition, as well as indigenous ammunition.

New Atmos Canon 2000 6x6 artillery system - Israeli Army ATMOS 2000 (Autonomous Truck Mounted howitzer System) is a 155 mm/52 calibre self-propelled (SP) artillery system manufactured by Soltam Systems. The system is long range, fast moving, truck mounted with a high firepower and mobility, rapid deployment, short response time, operable in all terrain areas. The system is integrated with a fully computerized system, providing an automatic control, accurate navigation and target acquisition, the system is offered with various gun calibers, ranging from 39 to 52 calibre, in order to meet different customer requirements.

Serbia - Nora B-52

The Nora B-52 is a 155 mm self-propelled howitzer weapon system developed by Military Technical Institute Belgrade for export and domestic use.

The gun can fire out to a range  of  56km (35 miles) depending upon the ammunition. It has a rate of fire of 6 to 12 rounds per minute.

Sweden - Archer Artilley System

The FH77 BW L52 Archer is a modern artillery gun system that can be utilised across the full spectrum of conflict. Its reliability, high degree of survivability, significant range of effects and precision engagement provides the users with an entirely new type of indirect fire capability. Archer, together with an extensive ammunition portfolio, brings the artillery onto the international arena.

An autonomous gun like Archer can operate independently on the fragmented battlefield and cope with a variety of threats.

The system requires minimum manpower operation. One person can do the work alone, but in order to achieve the maximum effect of the system, three operators are recommended. When sitting inside the cabin the gun crew is protected from splinter, mines, NBC and the guns emergent properties like noise and pressure. Unlike many other artillery gun systems the Archer crew is separated entirely from the armament and the ammunition. They do not have to leave the protected cabin when operating the system except for maintenance - considerably increasing crew survivability.
